Amélie Allaert, daughter of musical producer Geert Allaert, and her partner Cas Casier are working together to produce classic productions for a wide audience. Amélie has completed a seven-year traineeship at Music Hall, gaining experience of every department within the organisation.
"From a young age I have been fascinated by the world of musicals and theatre. I can still remember the first major musical productions my father first brought to Flanders: "The Wizard of Oz", "Cats", "Les Misérables", "The Phantom of The Opera" and many more. Over the years, I have been able to observe the creative process, from the auditions and rehearsals to the premieres, of many stunning productions. I’m incredibly grateful to my father for the opportunity seven years ago to gain such knowledge and experience within Music Hall. One production in particular that has stayed with me was “Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9” performed by the Béjart Ballet Lausanne & Tokyo ballet with live symphony orchestra and choir. More than 25,000 people visited the Vorst Nationaal over three days to enjoy this stunning dance spectacle. The virtuoso dancers in combination with the live symphony orchestra gave me goosebumps. It was clear to me from the start that I wanted to immerse myself in the classical genre. With Prima Donna Events, we want to present familiar classics to a wide audience. We want to give audiences young and old an unforgettable experience and would love to welcome you to one of our performances." - Amélie Allaert
